Nurturing the Child’s Sense of Wonder and the Parent’s need to Rejuvenate

Human history up until two decades ago, understood and celebrated nature as the home for childhood to unfold. Where awe and wonder were nourished, where compassion was fostered through the relationship with one’s animals and where tranquility was sought amidst the garden. That was the very foundation of the child’s spiritual, cognitive, physical and emotional being. Working along side their children, parents led the way.

Meanwhile a strong support system was in place – the Village – where children could be entrusted with fellow adults, providing the much-needed opportunity to charge and discharge from our little loved ones. Thus fostering true well-being of the family, the cornerstone of our society.

Through the various venues below, it is our dream at Peace Village to open the door of wonder for our children while providing opportunity for the parents to play along side the little ones or receive time to rejuvenate when dropping off the older ones.

Semester enrollment lays the path for long term relationships. The multi-age group of children encourages a family-like environment nurturing true social skills and the multi-disciplinary approach integrates learning naturally. Hands-on sensorial immersion on the farm leaves behind lasting memories of true learning where the child can house a sense of ownership and reverence for the land, the plants and the animals.
