Village Feedback
“As a home school mother, I often struggle with finding a safe, nurturing environment to bring my children to learn. I often analyze every class they sign up for making sure the teachers are kid-friendly, the classes are informative and the environment is safe.
So when Peace Village opened it’s doors this summer for a pilot program, I performed my usual analysis, interview, and multiple question asking regarding their curriculum. I wanted to ensure that the classes offered would sustain interest to my children and more importantly would fit all of their different age needs. I was pleasantly surprised when my 3 children and I arrived at the farm. I was immediately taken back by the beauty of the place. I couldn’t believe I was in Fremont, California! My eyes immediately fell on an old-style red barn that looked like something out of Old MacDonald had a Farm. I was mesmerized by the sunflowers that lined the children area and admired the flourishing garden. My children immediately ran to the goats, chickens and rabbits which all looked so content and well cared for. Everything about Peace Village was visually stunning. But what struck me the most were the hugs and smiles that greeted us as we entered the farm. We immediately felt at home! Hours went by and I couldn’t believe how smoothly the day went. My normally shy children had no apprehension in joining in the the care of the animals, and playing with the other children! They even had a picnic style lunch made from the eggs they helped pick and the lettuce they collected from the garden!
I was definitely hooked on Peace Village. It was the kind of environment I have always dreamed for my children to be a part of but never knew existed. My children have attended several sessions of Peace Village already and each day they are just as excited as they were the first day. Even my youngest child who would never leave my side before runs to the gate without looking back.
As a home school mother there is nothing more gratifying then being able take time for myself while trusting that my children are in good hands. What a great feeling it is to finally be able to have the best of both worlds.” Wendy Chang, mother of 3
